Throughout the last few years it has become apparant that three factors contribute to the
density of asphalt. These factors include:
pressure,
temperature, and
angle.
Tom Brovold has spoke several times on these three factors at different conferences around the country and their
effect on the industry. This page will walk you through the steps for downloading copies of the presentation.
Please read the steps and click begin when you are ready to begin.
Step 1:
Choose the conference.
Choose the conference you would like to download. There are currently two options to choose
from in this step. The first option is from the Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA) and addresses gyratory calibration.
The second option is from Rocky Mountain User Producer conference and specifically addresses the different factor in density.
Step 2:
Choose the program.
Each of the two speeches are available in Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft PowerPoint slideshow.
When you are downloading please take into consideration the speed of your internet connection, because the size of the
file while very between the two programs. 1. Adobe Acrobat's file will be much smaller in size, but will not have animation.
2. Microsoft PowerPoint will be a much larger file, but have animation.
Step 3:
Choose the format.
Choose the format for the application you choose in Step 2. Keep in mind: 1. Full
text will be smaller, but will not have some of the necessary graphics. 2. Graphics only will have the necessary graphics,
but no animation effects. 3. Full version (available in PowerPoint only) will have all of the graphics and animation.
Step 4:
Push the Download button.
Push the download button after you have completed Step 3 and choose
where you would like to place the zipped file on your computer.
